District Wide Activities for Everyone!

“Serenity Style”
Wear comfortable clothing, colors, fabrics, and outfits that make you feel happy, calm, and relaxed.

Challenge: Screen-Free Evening
Reduce screen time on Monday. Don't reach for your phone when you wake up! Pick up one of your hobbies, exercise, or get  in the evening (instead of scrolling.)

Practice Grounding
Take a moment during your day to engage in a grounding exercise. This is a great way to calm down or cope with emotions and anxious thoughts.

Tasty Tuesday Fashion
Search your closet for any food-themed items. (Hamburger socks, fruit earrings, or a pizza-patterned shirt?) Or, just wear the colors of your favorite food like a chocolate-colored coat or an orange shirt!

New Food Item in our Cafeterias!
Nutrition Services has planned a new healthy item: “Strawberry Banana Smoothie for Breakfast and Taquitos and Beans for Lunch at the Elementary schools, and Papper Belly (Frito Taco Boat) at our Seconday schools.

Challenge: Eat 5 Today!

Wear your “Green Garb”
Wear something green (or at least a green ribbon), the color that signifies mental health awareness, demonstrating that we support each other and we can stop the stigma.

Get a Good Night's Sleep!
Sleep is the building block of your health. Challenge yourself to get a good night's sleep tonight (atleast 8 hours!). Start with good habits when you're getting ready for bed.

It's Okay to Ask for Help!
Put 839863 in your phone. You can text Teen Line, an anonymous, nonjudgmental hotline, anytime to talk to other highly trained teens supervised by adult mental health professionals.

Wear What You’re Thankful For!
Maybe you’re thankful for nature, or animals, or your family. Find a creative way to wear something that reminds you of one of those things.

Journal Challenge: 5 Things You Are Thankful for
Journaling is a great tool to remind you of the things you have to be thankful for. You are encouraged to journal 5-10 things today that you are thankful for.

Power of Thank You
It is scientifically impossible for our brains to feel scared and thankful at the same time. When we feel grateful for things, our brains feel happier. Find someone you can thank today. Learn more.

Wear Workout Clothes or Sports Team Gear 
Wear logos or apparel from your favorite sports team, a sports jersey, or just comfortable clothes to exercise in and keep moving!

Start with a Stretch!
Start the morning with a long, slow stretch and see how your body feels!

Keep Moving... 
Spend atleast 30 minutes moving your body today with extra steps, fun exercise or even some dancing!
