Support Anza by Registering for the Skechers Pier to Pier Walk
Anza has lost 1.5 intervention teachers and will only be able to service half (or less) of what they have done in the past due to changes in salary requirements for intervention teachers.
What is intervention? Intervention is additional small-group academic support outside the classroom. Children who have been identified for the program receive focused math and reading practice and instruction to help them catch up to current class level instruction.
Our intervention also supports our ELL students before school with both reading and math in the computer lab.
Intervention teachers support all students who have tests by providing additional support at lunch time to help with last minute questions.
If you want to see intervention continue, join us at the Skechers walk! Your entrance fee of $30 will go towards Anza’s intervention program. If we get 100 walkers, we will receive $3000 (100*$30) PLUS a $1000 bonus = $4000 towards intervention.
You don’t have to be there to walk, though it’s a great family activity! You can virtual walk and the money still goes to Anza.
