On Monday, April 13, 2020 West High will have moved from the 'Continuity of Learning' model to 'Virtual Learning'. It is very important all students are following the below schedule of classes and logging in daily to each of their classes to learn, stay on to content and maintaining their grades.
Your student’s teachers will be connecting with each of their classes to review their Virtual Learning logistics and platform for each class on our First Day of Virtual Learning School on Monday, April 13th. You can review the site plan and access individual teacher plans, assignments, platforms and contact information here on our ‘Virtual Learning' Google Doc. The WHS teaching team will continue to update this document weekly. Please know that we are doing everything we can to provide appropriate instruction so when school resumes your student will be ready for a smooth transition back into the regular academic day. To ensure a smooth transition, we need the students to do their part by attending classes virtually every day, completing assignments, taking assessments and connecting with each of their teachers on a regular basis.
West High misses seeing our Warriors on campus. We hope you are doing well and staying healthy. With this uncertain time, it is normal to feel a little stressed, anxious and overwhelmed. For this reason, we wanted to send you a reminder about self-care! Self-care is important for your health and wellness. Sometimes you may not realize that pushing yourself to the point of exhaustion can make you counterproductive. With self-care, you are able to make progress faster -- it prevents burnout, reduces negative effects of stress, and helps you refocus. Just like eating and sleeping is important for your well-being, finding time to implement a self-care routine is vital to reaching your life goals.
