Financial Aid

Financial Aid can be need or merit based.  The majority of scholarships for high school students are offered during the student’s senior year. 

Types of Financial Aid

  • Gift Aid- grants or scholarships that do NOT need to be repaid
  • Work Study- money earned by the students as payment for a job on campus
  • Loans- borrowed money to be paid back, usually with interest

Necessary Documents

  • FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid)-application filing period October 1st-March 2nd
  • CAL Grant GPA Verification Form- (electronically filed by TUSD)
  • Federal Tax Returns
  • Other Applications/Forms as required by the college
  • CSS Profile- institutional scholarship and/or Financial Aid Application
