Dear Walteria Elementary School Community,

It is with great excitement that I get to introduce myself as the new principal of Walteria Elementary School.  I am honored to join this extraordinary school community, and I am already proud of our rich traditions and of the educational accomplishments of our students, faculty, and community.

This year marks my 20th year as an educator. Since graduating from Loyola Marymount University, I have served communities in the South Bay and Orange County.  My years of experience include many years of classroom teaching, but it is my work as a school administrator that I have found to be ultimately fulfilling in my professional work.  The elementary principalship provides me the chance to work collaboratively with teachers on a daily basis, while also remaining connected to young students' learning and growing in the classroom. I firmly believe that every student can excel and that the partnership between home and school builds confidence in students to use their powers to shape their future and the future of our community. This aligns with the Walteria mantra that we are educating the future.

I believe in the Walteria mission dedicated to providing a safe and healthy learning environment in which the social, emotional, and academic development of all our students is a priority.  As I begin my tenure, my focus will be in building strong relationships with all of you.  I am eager to learn about all the outstanding work that is already being done and support it wholeheartedly.

To the families and all Walteria partners, I am excited for this journey as the principal of Walteria Elementary School and grateful for the opportunity to get to know your family. Please do not hesitate to contact me. I can be reached at guidi.suzanne@tusd.org or 310-533-4487.

In partnership,

Suzanne Guidi, Principal
