Greetings Torrance Elementary Families and Community,

Welcome to the 2022-23 school year!  It is with great enthusiasm to introduce myself as the principal of Torrance Elementary School. I am honored to lead a school with a strong tradition of excellence, with a committed group of students, a dedicated staff, and supportive school community. I am proud to work in this special school and district, and I share the community’s passion and commitment to caring for and teaching your children every day.

We are committed to educating and supporting y(our) students to give them the best learning experiences possible. Continued hard work, optimism, and collaboration will help to make this happen.  As an educator, I have served in a wide range of capacities, both inside and outside of the classroom.  My years in education have given me the opportunity to work as a teacher, an Instructional Coach and Intervention Coordinator at both the elementary and secondary levels, assistant principal, and principal at the elementary and middle school levels. I completed a Doctorate degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Southern California, graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Social Behavior and a Master of Arts in Teaching from the University of California, Irvine, and a Master of Arts in Educational Administration from California State University, Northridge.

On behalf of the entire Torrance Elementary team, we are looking forward to a year of growth, collaboration, and fostering best practices, while working alongside the wonderful staff, parents, students, and TE community. I am looking forward to working with our families and the PTA, who play an integral role in supporting our school.  Please know that I value parent involvement and welcome you to work as partners with us.

Please continue to check our website for important information and updates. In closing, please know that I welcome your conversation and input throughout the year. I am looking forward to meeting each and every one of you.

Sincerely.
Dr. Nicole Jacobson
