LIKE - A Documentary Exploring the Impacts of Social Media
Torrance, CA – The District, in partnership with the Torrance Council of PTAs, would like to invite parents to a special screening of the documentary LIKE on August 28 and 29, 2019.
LIKE is an IndieFlix original documentary that explores the impact of social media on our lives and the effects of technology on the brain. The District works in collaboration with parent groups to provide resources throughout the school year to help parents support their student’s growth, development, and social-emotional wellbeing. As we focus on various mental health related topics during the fall semester, constructive screen time and responsible social media use are primary areas of interest for our parents.
LIKE will be screening at 10 am and at 7 pm over two days at different two locations to provide parents with viewing options to fit their schedule:
August 28, 2019 at North High School and August 29, 2019 at West High School
The documentary will be screened in the Performing Arts Center at both high schools and will include a post panel discussion after the viewing.
