Summer Reading

We expect all of our students to have a great time over the summer vacation.  While we do have summer reading assignments for you, your reading experience should be an enjoyable one.  Choose a book that appeals to you and your interests.

Summer Reading Assignments

For Incoming 6th graders  

Please read two (2) books of your choice and be prepared to talk and write about them when school starts August 26th.  We have a few favorite suggestions from our 6th grade team if you need help choosing a book.

The Thing about Jellyfish - Ali Benjamin
Harry Potter - JK Rowling (start with book one if you haven't read them)
The Watsons go to Birmingham - Christopher Paul Curtis

7th and 8th Graders
