Dear TUSD Parent/Guardian/Volunteer,
In a continued effort to strengthen campus safety at all of our schools, Torrance Unified School District (TUSD) will begin implementing the Raptor Visitor/Volunteer Management System over the next few weeks.
Upon entering any TUSD school, visitors will be asked to present government-issued identification with a barcode, such as a driver’s license, which can either be scanned or
manually entered into the system. If a parent/guardian, for any reason, does not have this type of ID, school staff is able to use alternate forms of ID and manually enter the visitor’s information into the Raptor system.
Raptor will issue a badge that identifies the visitor, the date, and the purpose of his/her visit. The safety of our students and staff is our highest priority, and the Raptor system allows us to quickly identify visitors that may present a danger to our students.
