COVID & Return to School/Work Updates

Important Update on Testing For Return to School/Work (1/7/22)

TUSD will accept a lab-verified (rapid/antigen or PCR) or FDA-authorized Over-the-Counter test (at-home test) as evidence of a COVID-19 negative individual taken on day 5 (or after) for return to school/work prior to the full 10 day quarantine or isolation period. Students may use the at-home tests distributed by the District for this purpose. We recommend antigen testing for anyone testing to return from quarantine or isolation as antigen tests are a better indicator that the infectious period has passed than the more sensitive PCR tests.

If an individual submits an FDA-authorized Over-the-Counter test, the employee, parent, or guardian must provide the signed digital attestation form confirming that the test was administered properly. After submitting the attestation form with results of a negative test, employees must contact their supervisors and students must report to the school office, for clearance to return to work/school.

Thank you for your continued patience and understanding as we navigate the ever-changing guidelines. We are committed to keeping our school community informed as we receive new information.

COVID Testing & Reporting (1/9/22)

Based on case numbers, all students should confirm they are negative with one of the provided at-home test kits. If you tested negative and have not been contacted and identified as a close contact, your student may continue to attend school.

Any student who tests positive should notify us using the provided reporting link. Students should then follow guidelines for isolation and family members should be tested and quarantined unless they are fully vaccinated and boosted (if booster eligible). A Hull employee will contact you as soon as possible. We appreciate your patience as we work through these cases.
