Welcome to Edison's PTA!
Dear Edison Eagles and Families,
I hope everyone had a safe and wonderful summer! First, I want to welcome all of the new and returning families to Edison. It is an honor to serve as Edison’s PTA President. This year I want to focus on engaging with our families and welcoming new volunteers, so that we can continue to support the programs and experiences at Edison that enrich our children’s lives and foster our sense of community as Edison Eagles.
My family started at Edison in 2016, when our eldest son entered Kindergarten and now our daughter will be starting her journey as an Edison Eagle this year. At Edison, we found much more than a great school – we became part of a dedicated community of teachers, staff, parents, and students. We invite each and every member of that community to join us in making this an outstanding year.
Whether you have 30 minutes or a couple of hours, your ideas, your time, and your talents are truly needed. We can match your time constraints and interests to needed tasks. We have many ways in which Moms, Dads, Aunts, Uncles, and Grandparents can contribute. Please consider volunteering, it really does make a difference in the lives of our children!
It has been said that the number one reason people don’t join PTA is because no one asked…. We are asking! And asking you to ask your friends! And even if you do not have the time to volunteer, by becoming a member, your membership fee and any donations are used to buy the supplies we need to support our programs. Join us and help us make this the best year yet! I look forward to getting to know you and building an even stronger Edison community together. Go Eagles!!!!
