City of Torrance Recreation Services After School Club

The City of Torrance Recreation Services department offers the After School Club for Edison students in grades first through eighth. The program is held at Edison, Monday through Friday, after school until 6:00 p.m. The program seeks to provide students with a safe and nurturing environment where they can build their self-esteem by strengthening their communication, team building, and socialization skills. Activities include homework time, games, community service projects, field trips, arts and crafts, sports, and a variety of other activities. A daily snack is provided. Torrance-South Bay YMCA Before & After School Care

On-site childcare for Edison students is offered before and after school through Torrance-South Bay YMCA. Designed for working parents, before school care begins at 6:30 a.m., and after-school care care continues until 6pm. Children engage in structured activities, such as homework time and enrichment classes in a fun, safe environment, supervised by instructors who specialize in education and child development.
