About Torrance Tykes

Edison hosts a classroom for Torrance Tykes Preschool, TUSD's program for 3 to 4 year-old students. Children must be 3 years old by September 1st and toilet trained to apply. Priority is given to children that turn 4 years old by September 1st.

Sponsored by the California Department of Education and the Torrance Unified School District, Torrance Tykes is free to qualifying students based on family income. Please contact Torrance Tykes at (310) 972-6490 or visit their website for more information.

Torrance Tykes also offers services to Special Education students beginning at age 3. If you suspect your preschool child has a disability and you are a resident of Torrance Unified School District, please contact LAUNCH Preschool for an assessment at (310) 972-6500 x2550. If you are not a resident of TUSD, contact your home elementary school.
