Computer Science
Carr Elementary School believes in the importance of learning about computer science.
Last year, Carr hosted a Family Coding Night and we would like to continue this exciting family event again this year. Here are some photos from this exciting event.

Hour Of Code
Also this year, we are excited about the Hour of Code event during Computer Science Education Week in December where we could join more than 100 million students in over 180 countries worldwide in coding. There are activities at every grade level available and parents can promote learning about programming at home. There are many free resources online for you to learn about coding with your child. https://hourofcode.com/us/learn is a great place to start!
Here is a video message from our former President, Barack Obama, encouraging the Hour of Code: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6XvmhE1J9PY
