Good morning,
No announcements or daily questions today.
Good news for our 8th-grade students: We are currently planning an in-person promotion event similar to those we have had in the past. Also, we plan on having an 8th-grade picnic/promotion rehearsal on Wednesday, June 9th.

WHS Counselor Visit
Did you look over and complete the "course selection" sheet so you will be ready to meet with your counselor at your designated
time either Thursday or Friday?
Or, if you are not going to attend West High next year, did you advise Mrs. Spadafino?
Course Requests for 2021-2022 (6th grade to 7th Grade)
Ok, it is that time of the year when we start scheduling classes for next year. Normally I would do this during your PE classes, and it usually takes less than 15 minutes.
Clearly, that plan won't work, so we will try it via a short video I made today and hope it all works out.

Please note: We, Bert Lynn Middle School, do not submit course requests for WHS. If you plan on taking classes at WHS, please follow their procedures.
Speech and Debate Tryout (future high schoolers)
Tryouts for Speech and Debate will be held Wednesday, May 12, from 3:05 PM-5:05 PM and Thursday, May 13, from 3:00-5:00 PM via zoom. Please email Mrs. Hastings at hastings.natalie@tusd.org to reserve a tryout slot and receive the detailed tryout information. Tryouts are scheduled in 15-minute increments, and each student is given an individual tryout.
