Easy Way to Support Arlington!

Toyota has graciously donated a new  LEXUS 300NXh Hybrid SUV.  We will receive ⅔ of the sale back for each ticket sold. Arlington has used this money in the past for support in our computer lab, noon supervision, a counselor.  If we all tried to sell or buy ONE ticket for our school - we could continue great additions to our school program.  1 Ticket = $30 with $20 coming right back to our Superstars! Arlington’s Science STEAM Fair is Around the Corner.  Don’t miss out! STEAM Fair Project viewing March 28th from 3:12 - 5 p.m.    Students who place first for their grade level at the Arlington STEAM fair will be recognized at the district event which will be on April 18th.  STEAM projects will allow student to apply their Science, Technology, Engineering and Math skills with a creative, or Artistic, perspective (the “A” in STEAM).  This perspective is based on the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) where students are encouraged to focus not just on results, but on their process, one that includes trial and error, divergent thinking, dynamic problem solving and plenty of perseverance.

A big thank you to our parents who follow our “valet” lane rules and procedures during pick up times.  I applaud you in your cooperation with allowing drivers who are there for 3:03 p.m. pick up to line up along the sidewalk first.  Please, tell your grandparents, babysitters, aunties/uncles, siblings - who ever is doing the pick up ANY driver who is in the lane for 4th and 5th pick up prior to the 3:12 pm we ask that you continue north on VanNess and go around the block using 178 or 177th street.  Drivers must NOT block the flow of traffic on VanNess.  We have been using this procedure quite successfully the last few weeks, and the flow of traffic moves quite smoothly - This is in part due to the 3:12 pm drivers’ cooperation.  Thank you!

Helpful Tips:

Did you know the Z gate is opened on 178th street for pick up at 3:12 pm.?

Traffic in front of the school is relatively light closer to 3:20 pm. The YMCA gate is also opened at 3:12 pm
