Anza Run Club
Join our Running Club! The 2019-20 Anza Run Club is kicking off Monday, December 2nd. Membership is FREE and the benefits are priceless!
The Anza Run Club is a club for grades K-5 that promotes a positive and healthy opportunity for our children to develop a routine of physical exercise in the morning. A growing body of research indicates that regular participation in physical activity is linked to the enhancement of brain function and cognition, thereby positively influencing academic performance.
Run, skip, walk, leap, or hop as many laps as you can and earn a hand-dot for each lap....count your dots to accumulate mileage to earn running charms and prizes. Can your child accomplish 1 mile, 10 miles, a marathon or 100 miles across the year? Once your child has completed their desired number of laps that day, there will be other recreational activities will be available to keep the session fun!
When is Run Club? The club will run Monday - Wednesday mornings, from 7:50-8:20am. Meet by the Z gate on Lenore St. Please check in with the parent in an orange vest and then students can begin running or walking when they arrive. You choose which day(s) works for your child(ren) and your family.
Can Parents Be Involved? Absolutely! You can come out and run/walk with your child or volunteer to help with the Club. All parents need to be cleared by the office to participate or volunteer.
