Dear Anza Community,
As the school year comes to close I want to thank everyone for their patience and support during the
construction and remodeling of Anza. Our school has been modernized and looks great! Unfortunately,
the historic rains this year affected many in Southern California, including some of the buildings at Anza.
TUSD completed Bond Measure work during the recent construction at Anza and the District was able to
finish projects at all 30 school sites with a remaining balance of $6.5 million. This spring, the School
Board allocated these funds to additional projects across the District, including Anza. This means that
over the summer, Anza will be receiving an upgraded site drainage system, including storm drains, to
allow for proper drainage of rain water. This additional work, outside the scope of the bond measures,
will require the site to be completely shut down for the summer.
The Anza staff is very supportive and grateful to have this work done to maintain a safe environment. If
you have questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
