Attendance and Absence

Attendance

Prompt and regular school attendance is a prerequisite for academic success and helps students to develop personal responsibility. When students arrive late to class, not only do they miss important classroom opening activities and directions, but, their arrival can be disruptive to the flow of the instructional program for the other students, as well.

Studies show that there is a direct correlation between good school attendance and student achievement. Therefore, we encourage you as parents to enforce the importance of good school attendance and to make every effort to send your child to school on a regular basis.
