Calle Mayor Gets Adopted by Torrance Memorial Hospital
Both Calle Mayor and Torrance Memorial are looking forward to the beginning of an exciting new relationship as Adopt-a-School partners. “Calle Mayor has been a very enthusiastic and responsive partner from the beginning. We are actively exploring activities including first aid and infant-child CPR certification for school staff, combining efforts to support causes such as Hoops for Heart, Relay for Life, and participation with the school’s annual emergency disaster drill,” said Claire Coignard, Director, Health Education, Torrance Memorial Medical Center.
She further added, “Torrance Memorial’s partnership with Calle Mayor Middle School not only demonstrates our value of community in action, but more importantly allows many employees to feel proud in giving back to the community they call home. By supporting a school, we provide our employees with a wonderful opportunity to positively impact children’s health issues and also reach the family unit as well.”
Torrance Memorial Medical Center is a 401-bed, full-service hospital serving the South Bay and Peninsula communities for more than 80 years. For information about the medical center’s programs and services, visit www.TorranceMemorial.org.
