Lincoln Elementary Gets Adopted by Little Company of Mary Hospital

November 14, 2008

The campus was full of anticipation as students eagerly awaited the ceremonies to begin for Little Company of Mary Hospital to adopt Lincoln Elementary as part of the Torrance Area Chamber of Commerce’s Adopt-a-School Program. The festivities began with a special visit from the very shy school mascot Linc the Lion. The students sang songs to entertain their visitors and fellow classmates. Michael Hunn, Chief Executive of Little Company of Mary, was overwhelmed by the enthusiasm of the young students and surprised everyone with many generous gifts. Through this partnership, Little Company of Mary hopes to create an atmosphere of wellness, helping educate students, teachers, and parents about leading healthy lifestyle. The collaboration between the school and hospital will provide access to resources for students about eating healthy and leading active lives.
