TUSD Employees Spread a Little Holiday Cheer

On Friday, December 21, 2007 TUSD employees, two Torrance Ralphs grocery stores, Key Electric Inc, the Torrance Home Depot, and Supreme Muffler will help 8 Torrance families celebrate the holidays. Two decorated buses, filled with well-wishers will load up and deliver full meals, gifts, and Christmas trees to the families. Every year individual TUSD school sites and departments participate in various holiday programs with the Salvation Army and their business partners, however this year they wanted to try something where all TUSD personnel from various departments could come together and collectively spread some holiday cheer. TUSD employees and teachers simply want to try to “change the world a little at a time and hopefully make a difference in someone’s life”. The donations being made to the families are coming from various sources and include, holiday meals, Christmas gifts for over 15 kids, Christmas trees, and gift cards for food and clothes. All services are being provided by volunteers and donations made by TUSD employees, teachers, and business partners.
