FMA Live! Performs for TUSD Middle Schools

November 05, 2007

On Monday, November 5, 2007 FMA Live! will be visiting TUSD Middle Schools to infuse students with the desire to learn about math and science. FMA Live! is an interactive science presentation that combines the laws of Force, Motion, and Acceleration with hip-hop dance moves and music to show students that science is all around them. The show travels across the country to reveal to students the science in their everyday lives. FMA Live! takes learning objectives from the National Science Education Standards to deliver a concrete educational experience.

Honeywell and NASA joined forces in 2004 and created FMA Live! - teaching students about Sir Isaac Newton’s three laws of motion. Fewer students pursue careers in math and science creating a greater demand in these fields. TUSD is committed to bringing the very best educational standards and experiences to its students in order to encourage them to explore and create interest in different arenas of higher education. Named for Newton’s 2nd law of motion, Force equals Mass times Acceleration, FMA Live! promises to make science a fun experience.

The FMA Live! assemblies will be hosted by North Torrance High School which is located at 3020 West 182nd Street in Torrance. For more information please call Tammy Khan at (310) 972-6152.
