Senior Director - Elementary Schools

  • Serves as line officer for elementary schools and assigned District Office functions establishing goals, objectives, and securing resources necessary for effective program operation

  • Supervises elementary educational and administrative programs in accordance with legislative mandates and District policies

  • Coordinates development and implementations of plans for community involvements at the District level and at elementary school sites

  • Supervises evaluation of certificated and classified employees at elementary school sites

  • Resolves elementary staff and school community concerns with assistance from the appropriate District Office staff

  • Interprets elementary curriculum, instructional programs, policies, and procedures to school personnel, school patrons, and members of the community

  • Articulates and coordinates with the various divisions of the District Office services to elementary school sites

  • Assists elementary schools in establishing, achieving, and evaluating meaningful goals and objectives

  • Works with elementary principals and teachers to identify professional needs and to secure professional services and resources

  • Recommends employment, assignment, and transfer of elementary school employees

  • Coordinates appropriate committees in planning, development, and revision of District goals and objectives

  • Provides articulation among preschools, elementary, middle, and high schools
