Mr. Don Lee
Don Lee was elected to the School Board in November 2007. He is a longtime Torrance resident, moving here with his family in 1960. Don attended Torrance schools and is a Torrance High graduate. Don has committed himself to community service and has had various leadership positions in the Torrance community. He was Parks and Recreation Commissioner for 6 years and Planning Commissioner for 4 years. Don also served as president of the Torrance Historical Society, Chairman for the Torrance Area Chamber of Commerce, President of the Torrance Junior Chamber of Commerce, and has been a member of the Torrance Rotary Club. Additionally, Don has been a Member to the Torrance South Bay YMCA Board of Directors. Don has always supported Torrance Unified School District and is a long time Advisory Board Member for the Torrance Education Foundation. In 1992 he was elected to the Torrance City Council where he served for 8 years. For the last ten years Don has been working for Farmers Insurance, first as an agent and for the last seven years as their South Bay District Manager. Don has three sons, Zachary, Andrew, and Devin, who all attend TUSD schools.
