TUSD to Conduct State Education Finance Workshop

The broad-scope workshop, which will be presented by TUSD Superintendent Dr. George Mannon and Deputy Superintendent – Administrative Services Dr. Donald Stabler, will focus on education finance and trends in the State of California. It will also include a discussion on the trickle-down effect current legislation is expected to have on school districts statewide.
“During the workshop we will essentially present a general overview of education in California today in an effort to determine how the November 8 election outcome will impact school districts statewide,” says Mannon. “Then we will narrow the focus to illustrate how TUSD fits into the overall picture. Our main goal is answer any questions attendees have so we can clear up some of the popular misconceptions or misunderstandings about school finances in general.”
