February 1, 2005

CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order by Dr. Klonecky at 3:30 p.m.

PRESENT
Personnel Commissioners:
Dr. Harold M. Klonecky
Dr. Owen H. Griffith
Mr. Steven M. Busch

Mrs. Beverly Mautino, Acting Director-Personnel Commission
Ms. Kris Koga, Personnel Analyst

PLACE AND DATEOF MEETING
Torrance Unified School District Personnel Commission Conference Room, 2335 Plaza del Amo, Torrance, February 1, 2005.

PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Mr. Busch.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES --Regular Meeting of January 11, 2005
Mr. Busch moved, seconded by Dr. Griffith, that the Minutes of the Regular Meeting of January 11, 2005 be approved. Motion carried 3/0.

APPROVAL OF ELIGIBILITY LIST- Site Coordinator
Dr. Griffith moved, seconded by Mr. Busch, that the Eligibility List -- Site Coordinator be approved. Motion carried 3/0.

INFORMATION ITEMS
Job Announcements: HVAC Technician, Locksmith, and Plumber.

Next Commission Meeting:
February 15, 2005, 3:30 p.m. -- District Office Board Room.

February 10-13, 2005 -- CSPCA Annual Conference -- Long Beach, CA.

COMMENTS FROM COMMISSIONERS
Mr. Busch announced that he retired effective January 30, 2005 and after only one day of retirement, he was appointed as the Business Agent for AFSCME Local 1117 Torrance Municipal Employees. He noted that he resigned from the Civil Service Commission for the City of Torrance.Mr. Busch commended retired Locksmith, Jim Logue, for his many years of service to the District. Dr. Griffith noted that Mr. Joseph Bonano, President of the Torrance School Board, would be speaking at the Arts Council.

CLOSED SESSION
Recruitment -- Director-Personnel Commission. No action taken.

ADJOURNMENT
The meeting was adjourned 4:07 p.m.
