CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order by Dr. Klonecky at 3:30 p.m.

PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Mr. Busch.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES -- April 20, 2004
Dr. Griffith moved, seconded by Mr. Busch, that the minutes of the regular meeting of April 20, 2004 be approved. Motion carried 3/0.
APPROVAL OF 2004-2005 CLASSIFIED EMPLOYEE RECRUITMENT PLAN
Mr. Busch moved, seconded by Dr. Griffith, that the 2004-2005 Classified Employee Recruitment Plan be approved.

COMMENTS FROM STAFF
Dr. McCann reported that the Board of Education concurred with the proposed Personnel Commission Budget, 2004-2005 at its meeting of May 3, 2004. The Commission staff then forwarded the Personnel Commission Budget forms to the Los Angeles County Office of Education in accordance with Education Code § 45253.
COMMENTS FROM PERSONNEL COMMISSIONERS
Mr. Busch commented that the Torrance Area Chamber of Commerce Foundation would be hosting a State of Education Address featuring Maureen O'Donnell, President, TUSD Board of Education and special recognition awards honoring Dr. Arnold Plank, retired TUSD Superintendent and Robert Virtue, President, Virco Mfg. Corp.Commissioners agreed that two representatives of the Commission would attend this function at a cost of $30 each.
