Women in STEM
TUSD and Loyola Marymount University are please to partner and offer the Women in STEM program for our middle school female students at JMS. This is an awesome opportunity to engage further into the world and departments of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics). Participating students learn and grow within the subject matter of STEM, through hands-on implementation such as building models, experimentation, and examining real-world problems,in addition to exploring careers within the world of STEM. The program this 16-17 year has expanded from 8th grade to 6th and 7th grades as well. Jefferson’s session will take place this fall at Magruder Middle School (see the flyer for details, dates, and times). Interested students need to complete both the Application and the Media Consent form by this Friday, 9/16/16 and submit their application to the school office for Mrs. Heinrich. Students will be selected by the District based on the completion of the Application and for their responses to the Application.
