TUSD Summer Programs for 2017

South Bay Enrichment Academy Summer Program:

Through the combined efforts of the Torrance Education Foundation (TEF) and the Torrance Unified School District (TUSD) the South Bay Enrichment Academy (SBEA) Summer Session will be offered again this July. SBEA is a tuition-based program for incoming kindergarten students through 12th grade students. Classes are designed to supplement student learning at the elementary and middle school levels, while providing acceleration and advancement at the high school level.  The SBEA Middle School Summer program runs Tuesday, July 3rd through Friday, July 28th, from 8:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m, Monday -Friday at Calle Mayor Middle School.  SBEA Registration and Informational booklets are available in the Jefferson Middle School office lobby.

Jump Start Summer Session: 

The Torrance Unified School District Jump Start Summer Program is a summer learning opportunity offered to identified students who would benefit from extended support and enrichment by “jumpstarting” them into the next grade level by elevating their knowledge and mastery of the content matter. The Jump Start summer program is for all levels of students. The program intensively focuses on Math and English Language Arts Literacy as curriculum is designed to deliver targeted instruction in these core curricular areas. The Jump Start Summer Session runs Monday, July 31st through Friday, August 18th from 8:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m., Monday - Friday at Bert-Lynn Middle School. Informational will be become available in May.
