Classified employees are members of the Public Employees Retirement System (PERS). Approximately 7% of the employee's salary is contributed to the System while the District's fair share is determined by the state. Retirement may be taken after reaching age fifty (50) and five (5) years of service. Upon resignation, the employee's contribution only is refundable. Mandated alternate retirement plans are available to part-time employees who are not eligible for PERS.
