PURPOSE:
To create an eligibility list and fill a vacancy.
SELECTION

Tentatively scheduled during the week of July 28 - August 1, 2014

BASIC
FUNCTION:

Under the direction of the Director of Special Education or assigned supervisor, provides educationally related occupational therapy services to students, aged three (3) to twenty-two (22), with various disabilities according to the students’ Individualized Education Program (IEP). Provides assessment, consultation and direct occupational therapy to students within educational and functional parameters; develops and implements individual and/or group occupational therapy intervention plans. 
EDUCATION AND
EXPERIENCE:
Any combination equivalent to: bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy or graduation from an accredited occupational therapy educational program, one year of supervised experience in occupational therapy; work experience in planning and providing occupational therapy services within a school based setting is desirable. A Masters or Doctorate Degree in Occupational Therapy is highly desirable.
LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Valid license as an Occupational Therapist by the American Occupational Therapy Association or the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy and valid first aid qualification comparable to the Standard Red Cross First Aid Certificate within one year of employment. Hold valid CPR card or other valid procedure for resuscitation of an injured person. Possession of an appropriate operator's license issued by the California Department of Motor Vehicles. Employees in this classification must maintain insurability at the District's standard rate during the term of employment.
