There are no permanent positions at this time - only substitute positions.
A permanent eligibility list will be created from this recruitment.

FILING
DEADLINE:

OPEN UNTIL FILLED - District application form and a current H6 DMV printout must be submitted to the Personnel Commission Office.
PURPOSE: To establish an eligibility list and hire substitutes. Substitutes work on an as-needed basis to fill in for absent employees.
SELECTION
PROCEDURE:
Written Examination - 50%
Oral Interview - 50%
WRITTEN TEST DATE: Testing may occur on a monthly basis.
Qualified candidates will be notified by phone or email.

Qualified candidates will be notified by phone or email.

BASIC
FUNCTION:

Under the direction of an assigned supervisor, operate a school bus to transport students safely and efficiently to assigned locations over designated routes. Perform related duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND
EXPERIENCE:
Any combination equivalent to: six months experience as a school bus driver.
LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Valid Class A or B California Driver's License with "S" endorsement; valid School Bus Driver's Certificate(s) issued for a Type One by the California Highway Patrol with no restrictions other than "Automatic Transmission Only." Employees hired with an "Automatic Transmission Only" restriction must upgrade to "No Restrictions" within the first year of employment. Employees in this classification must maintain insurability at the District's standard rate during the term of employment.
