DEADLINE:

District application form and a current H6 DMV printout must be submitted to the Personnel Commission Office prior to September 17, 2012, 4:30 p.m.
PURPOSE: To establish an eligibility list and fill a vacancy. Substitutes may also be hired from this list. Substitutes work on an as needed basis to fill in for absent employees.
SELECTION
PROCEDURE:
Written Examination - 50%
Oral Interview - 50%
WRITTEN TEST DATE: Tentatively scheduled during the week of September 24-28, 2012.
Qualified candidates will be notified by mail or email.
ORAL PANEL
INTERVIEW DATE:
Tentatively scheduled during the week of September 24-28, 2012.
Qualified candidates will be notified by phone or email.

BASIC
FUNCTION:

Under the direction of an assigned supervisor, operate a school bus to transport students safely and efficiently to assigned locations over designated routes. Performs related duties as required or assigned.
EXPERIENCE: Any combination equivalent to: six months experience as a school bus driver.
LICENSE AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Valid California A or B Driver's License with "S" endorsement; valid School Bus Driver's Certificate(s) issued for a Type One by the California Highway Patrol with no restrictions other than "Automatic Transmission Only." Employees hired with an "Automatic Transmission Only" restriction must upgrade to "No Restrictions" within the first year of employment. Employees in this classification must maintain insurablility at the District's standard rate during the term of employment.
