Shoko has served TUSD as an Instructional Assistant-Adult Education at Torrance Adult School for the past 18 years. Shoko’s exemplary service has included assistance to ESL students, translation, both verbally and written, in the Japanese language, administering ESL placement tests, organizing and distributing classroom materials, record-keeping for the grant program, and helping to train new employees for the ESL program. Shoko has also served as a volunteer at the Adult School Graduation for many years. Her dedication and service is appreciated by all members of the Adult School family.
